ADAM KOFORD - Sea Witch$ 200 -   Inquire
Artist

Adam Koford is perhaps the worlds most prolific cartoonist. He once took it upon himself to illustrate all 700 Hodgeman Hobos. His latest enterprise is called LOLCats. You can easily catch up with him by commenting on one of his Flickr photos.

Could you tell the visitors about your Lure?

It's sort of an anti-lure. I figured the last thing a fish would be interested in would be a sea witch. Unless the fish had a grudge against a sea witch.

How did you end up being an artist?

I don't remember ever not drawing: in elementary school, in church, at the dmv, on the bus. I suppose it was inevitable.

Who are some of your greatest artistic influences?

George Herriman, Charles Schulz, Hank Ketcham, and many more.

What music do you have in heavy rotation right now?

I've been listening to the new They Might Be Giants album, and some of the recent Thurl Ravenscroft tracks posted on the WFMU blog.

What do you do for fun?

I love old movies: Marx Brothers, Billy Wilder, and Buster Keaton. I also visit theme parks on a regular basis.

When was the last time you went fishing?

It's been at least a year, though I did have some delicious fresh catfish a couple of weeks ago that a friend was kind enough to share.

Do you have any words of wisdom for new or aspiring artists?

Do not give up, and do not mistake talking about drawing for actually doing it.
